The producer price index of the "Manufacturing industries excluding oil refining" sector posted an increase of 0.5% during November 2021 compared to October 2021, according to the High Commission for Planning (HCP).
This increase is due to the rise of 1.2% in prices of "Food industries", 1.8% of "Manufacture of metal products, excluding machinery and equipment", 0.9% of "Metallurgy" 0.3% of "Manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products" and 0.2% in the "Manufacture of textiles" and "Manufacture of electrical equipment", said the HCP in an information note on the industrial, energy and mining producer price index (IPPIEM) in November 2021.
This change also takes into account the 0.2% drop in prices recorded in the "Manufacturing of computer, electronic and optical products", the same source added.
Also, the producer price indices of the sectors of "Mining and quarrying", "Production and distribution of electricity" and "Production and distribution of water" have stagnated during the month of November 2021.
