COVID-19: Morocco suspends flights with Algeria, Egypt

Morocco decided on Thursday to stop flights from Algeria and Egypt until March 21. A decision enters into the countries efforts to fight the new coronavirus strains, according to Moroccan authorities.

The same source added that this decision also applies to people who come from Algeria and Egypt through countries that still have air links with Morocco.

Algeria and Egypt raise the number of countries that Morocco decided to suspend flights with it to 20 countries, it includes Italy, Belgium, Turkey, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Netherlands, Portugal, Czech, Ukraine, Sweden, Australia, Brazil, Ireland, New Zealand, UK, Denmark, and South Africa.

Morocco has announced that only 24 cases of the UK’s coronavirus strain have been recorded within the country so far.

The Kingdom of Morocco started on January 28, a national vaccination campaign, and almost 4 million people have already been vaccinated until now.
