Covid vaccine: 2 batches on way to Morocco from China

Morocco is preparing to receive 2 batches of Covid-19 vaccine doses from China, as of tomorrow, Local media reported.

According to the same source, two Moroccan aircraft carriers landed on Chinese capital, Beijing, to bring 1 million of Sinopharm vaccine doses for each.

The first aircraft carrier is expected to arrive in Morocco, Monday, Mai 10, 2021, while the second one is expected to land on Casablanca airport after tomorrow, local media noted.

These two shipments of Covid-19 vaccine, will bring Morocco’s total of Sinopharm’s doses to 4 million and half, and more than 11 million vaccine doses in general.

The new shipments will give Morocco another momentum in the vaccination campaign against Coronavirus, as it is still the most African nation vaccinating its citizens.

The number of people who have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine in Morocco has reached 5,473,809 up to Mai 5,2021, announced Saturday the Ministry of Health, noting that people who have been fully vaccinated (1st and 2nd doses) number 4,390,752.
