Electrical Energy in Morocco: Production Up 6.2% End September

Electrical energy production in Morocco increased by 6.2% at the end of the first nine months of 2021, after a decline of 4.6% the previous year, according to the Directorate of Financial Studies and Forecasts (DEPF).

This change is due to the increase recorded by private production (+5.8%), by the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water (+9.5%) and by renewable energies related to the Bill 13-09 (+2.8%), said the DEPF in its November 2021 outlook.

Compared to the end of September 2019, production increased by 1.3%, after a near-stagnation in H1-2021, driven by a 4% increase in Q3-2021, the source pointed out.
