Heatwave Alert: Temperatures to Soar Across Multiple Moroccan Provinces

A severe heatwave is expected to sweep across several provinces of the Kingdom from Monday to Wednesday, with temperatures forecast to range between 38 and 45°C, the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) announced in an "orange" level alert bulletin.

Temperatures ranging from 42 and 45°C are expected in the provinces of Taounate, Aousserd, Ouezzane, Larache, Oued-Ed Dahab, Boujdour, Assa-Zag, Es Semara, Tata, Zagora and Kenitra, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, Kalaat Sraghna, Marrakech, Rehamna, Khemisset, Beni Mellal, Fquih Ben Salah and Moulay Yacoub, the DGM said.

In addition, temperatures ranging from 38 to 42°C are expected in the provinces of Guelmim, Taroudant, Benslimane, Berrechid, Khouribga, Settat, Chichaoua, Salé, Skhirate-Temara, Sidi Bennour, Youssoufia, Meknès, Errachidia, Khénifra, Fès, Guercif and Taza, according to the same source.
