Heavy Snowfall and Thunderous Rain Forecasted Across Multiple Provinces of Morocco

Snowfall at heights above 1,400 meters, as well as locally thunderous heavy rain, are expected from Sunday to Tuesday in several provinces of the Kingdom, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM).  

Snowfall (10-20 cm) is forecast on Sunday from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM in the provinces of Ifrane, Sefrou, Boulemane, Taza, and Guercif, the DGM pointed out in an "orange" level weather alert.  

The same phenomenon (20-40 cm) is expected on Monday from 12:00 AM to 11:00 PM in Sefrou, Ifrane, Guercif, Taza, Boulemane, and Midelt. Additionally, snowfall (10-20 cm) will affect the provinces of Khenifra, Azilal, Béni Mellal, Taourirt, Al Hoceima, and Chefchaouen on Monday from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM.  

Furthermore, locally thunderous heavy rain (35-50 mm) is expected on Monday from 12:00 AM to 11:00 PM in the provinces of Tétouan, Chefchaouen, Fahs-Anjra, Mdiq-Fnideq, Taza, and Al Hoceima, while the same phenomenon (35-50 mm) will affect Sefrou, Driouch, Nador, and Berkane from Monday at 12:00 PM to Tuesday at 3:00 AM.  

The provinces of Larache, Tanger-Assilah, Ouezzane, and Taounate will experience similar rainfall levels (25-40 mm) on Monday from 12:00 AM to 11:00 PM, according to the same source.
