Morocco, Sudan Set to Promote Partnership in Mining Sector

Minister of Energy, Mining and Environment Aziz Rabbah on Wednesday, held talks in Rabat with his Sudanese counterpart, Mohamed Bashir Abdullah, on promoting strategic partnerships in the mining sector, as part of the development of South-South cooperation.

According to MAP news agency, this meeting is in line with the strategic vision of the Kingdom to strengthen the South-South partnership and the development of cooperation in the sectors of energy, mining including phosphate, new technologies, said the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Environment.

On this occasion, Rabbah hailed the excellent level of bilateral relations between Morocco and Sudan, highlighting the opportunities for future cooperation between the two countries, particularly in key sectors such as energy, mining and environment.

The Sudanese Minister of Mining highlighted the progress made by the Kingdom in energy and mining, noting that Sudan is willing to benefit from the experience and expertise of Morocco in the fields of phosphate, energy, mining and training.

Bashir Abdullah will hold a series of meetings with various stakeholders of the mining sector in Morocco.
