New Automotive Wiring Plant to Create 3,500 Jobs in Morocco

The automotive wiring plant in the Eastern city of Oujda (Northeast of Morocco), which is part of the Aptiv equipment group and whose construction work was launched on Monday, will create 3,500 direct jobs for young people in the region, the Oriental Regional Council points out in a release.

This new industrial unit, whose construction work was kicked off by the president of the regional council, Abdenbi Bioui, and the Wali of the Oriental region, governor of the prefecture of Oujda-Angad, Mouad El Jamai, will spread over an area of 8 ha and will require an overall investment of 394 million dirhams, the source says.

This project will contribute to the creation of jobs for young people as well as new economic alternatives, as this plan will create 3,500 direct jobs for the inhabitants of the region, underlines Bioui, as quoted in the release.

This project is part of the concretization of the achievements of the royal speech delivered by HM King Mohammed VI on March 18, 2003 in Oujda, with the aim of creating development projects and encouraging investments, he points out.

The president of the regional council points out that the announcement of the creation of important industrial poles in all the provinces of the region will be made in the coming days.
