The number of people who have been immunized against Covid-19 in Morocco has surpassed 18 million so far.
According to the daily COVID-19 bulletin of Morocco’s Ministry of Health issued today, Thursday, a total of 21,739,347 people received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while the number of fully vaccinated people (1st and 2nd doses) reached 18,128,049.
Morocco has recorded 1,583 new COVID-19 cases while 2,538 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the past 24 hours.
The total number of COVID-19 cases reported since the start of the outbreak of the virus stands at 925,507, while recoveries rise to 893,272, i.e. a recovery rate of 96.5%.
As for coronavirus-related deaths, they rose to 14,076 with 36 fatalities reported over the past 24 hours.
The number of active cases stands at 18,159 including 1,283 people in a critical or severe condition, the ministry said.
