Over 10 million people received full vaccination in Morocco

The vaccination campaign in Morocco has succeeded to include a large portion of people, with more than 10 million citizens have received full vaccination against Covid-19.

According to Health Ministry, the number of people vaccinated up to yesterday, Friday, July 30, 2021 (1st dose) reached 13.537.493 while 10.111.985 people were fully vaccinated (1st and second dose).

Morocco is the first African nation to start a vaccination campaign against Coronavirus, it was that on January 28, 2021, and is the top African nation to reach these numbers in terms of vaccinating people.

During the months of June and July Morocco received several batches of vaccine from China containing almost 10 million Sinopharm vaccine doses, as well as 300 thousand doses from US Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

to reach herd immunity, the health authorities in Morocco have said that it requires to vaccine more than 30 million citizens which equal 80 percent of the Moroccan population.

Morocco started vaccinating its citizens gradually, the first category was the elder ages then went down to reach currently young people over 25.
