Palestinian Information Minister Ahmed Assaf commended, Monday in Rabat, the constant efforts of King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, to support the Palestinian people and their just cause.

Following talks in Rabat with Morocco’s Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, Assaf praised the efforts made by Morocco, under the leadership of the King, to support Al-Quds and defend the legitimate and just rights of the Palestinian people.

"We reiterate our thanks for Morocco’s positions in favor of the Palestinian cause, under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, as well as for the initiatives of the Sovereign, in particular the financial support provided by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency for our people in Al-Quds," he continued.

Reviewing the support provided by the Sovereign to Al-Quds and Gaza Strip inhabitants, Assaf, who is currently on a working visit to the Kingdom, said that "this Moroccan support contributes to strengthening the resilience of Palestinians".

For his part, Bensaid reaitertad the historic and constant position of the Kingdom of Morocco, under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, in support of the Palestinian cause, which is regarded as a national cause, a position reaffirmed by the King on several occasions.

The meeting underscored the deep historical ties between Morocco and Palestine under the leadership of King Mohammed VI and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, while discussions explored ways to enhance cooperation in media sectors to amplify the Palestinian voice internationally.

Both parties agreed to strengthen Moroccan media presence in Palestine and vice versa, and to increase coordination within regional and international bodies.
