The Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Emirates Airlines, aiming to strengthen air links between Morocco and fast-growing Asian markets such as Japan, South Korea, India, and Australia. This initiative will leverage Emirates' extensive flight network through its global hub in Dubai.
According to a statement from the ONMT, this partnership is part of its strategy to diversify the source markets for tourists to Morocco, focusing on promising markets such as Saudi Arabia and Asia, thereby enhancing Morocco's position as a major international tourist destination.
The ONMT is also working on implementing its "Light In Action" strategy to position Morocco as a leading tourist destination on the global stage. As part of these efforts, it is participating from April 28 to May 1, 2025, in the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai, one of the largest and most significant travel and tourism exhibitions in the Middle East.
At this 32nd edition of ATM Dubai, the ONMT is highlighting the Casablanca-Settat region, alongside a strong participation of 26 exhibitors from various regions of Morocco.

The Moroccan delegation is headed by Achraf Faida, Director General of the ONMT, with the presence of Hamid Bentaher, President of the National Tourism Confederation, aiming to strengthen Morocco’s standing among the most visited tourist destinations worldwide.
ATM annually attracts over 2,800 exhibitors, 55,000 visitors, and participants from more than 160 countries, representing an opportunity for the ONMT to showcase all Moroccan tourist destinations, ranging from cultural tourism to eco-tourism, business tourism, and luxury travel. This international exhibition serves as a major platform for boosting tourism flows and stimulating the influx of international visitors, thus reinforcing Morocco’s presence in the global market.
Strengthening Morocco’s presence in the Saudi market is one of the main pillars and strategic priorities of the ONMT. In 2024, Saudi Arabia became the largest source of tourists from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries to Morocco, recording a 13% increase in arrivals compared to the previous year.
Building on this momentum, the ONMT is reinforcing this movement through strong partnerships with leading Saudi travel agencies such as "Almosafer," "Fursan," and "Flyin.com."
At the same time, the ONMT is leveraging cooperation with major global travel platforms such as "Wego" and "Cleartrip" to bolster its presence in important markets like India and Southeast Asia. These partnerships pave the way for attracting tourists from high-end and diverse segments while enhancing Morocco’s image in the rapidly growing Gulf Cooperation Council market.
