Morocco's Flag Carrier to Re-Launch Casablanca-Sao Paulo Direct Air Link on Dec. 7

Royal Air Maroc (RAM) announced on Friday that it will re-launch its Casablanca- Sao Paulo direct air link starting from December 7, 2024 with triple weekly frequencies.

Flights from Casablanca will be programmed on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 4:40 pm (local time) to reach Sao Paulo at 10:20 pm (local time). Return flights will leave Sao Paulo on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 00:20 am (local time) to land in Casablanca at 1:15 pm, states the company in a press release.

Direct flights will be operated by Boeing 787 Dreamliner new generation planes, offering the highest level of comfort and security while fostering a reduced carbon footprint.

“We are very happy to re-launch the direct Casablanca-Sao Paulo air route, suspended since the sanitary crisis. It is part of our development plan and will allow us to strengthen our network on the  long-haul and mark our return to the Latin American continent,” stated the company's CEO Hamid Addou, quoted in the press release.

“This line will make the movement of tourists and businessmen on both continents easier, while meeting the expectations of European tourists who want to program combined travels in Africa and Latin America,” he added.

The re-opening of this line connecting the two countries’ economic and financial capitals meets the growing demand from businessmen and tourists on both sides of the Atlantic.

It will contribute to strengthening the links between Morocco and Brazil, two long-standing partners whose diplomatic and economic relations grew stronger during the recent years.

The relaunch of this service is also part of Royal Air Maroc's efforts to support the Kingdom's major projects, in particular the major global sporting event to be organized by Morocco, Spain and Portugal, the 2030 Football World Cup.

Brazilians, known for being football lovers, will be able to travel easily and comfortably with Royal Air Maroc, between Sao Paulo and the three countries organizing the World Cup, via the airline's hub in Casablanca.
