Ligue 1: End of Season for Moroccan Midfielder Soufiane Boufal

Injured in Angers' last match against PSG, Moroccan midfielder Soufiane Boufal, will have to undergo surgery and stay away from the pitch until the end of the season, his club announced.

Injured in the hamstrings at the 14th minute of the game, the Atlas Lion will have to undergo surgery. This means that Angers SCO will have to deal without one of its best players at least until the end of the French championship. 

"The additional examinations and expertise of the injury suffered by Soufiane Boufal during the meeting ANGERS SCO – PSG, revealed the true nature of the injury of the Moroccan international. The player will be operated on tomorrow morning," the Ligue 1 club wrote in a statement.

"This intervention will keep him away from the field at least until the end of the championship. ANGERS SCO lends its full support to Soufiane Boufal and wishes him a speedy recovery," the same source added.
