Morocco and Germany Discuss Ways to Bolster Cooperation

Morocco's Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills, Younes Sekkouri, held talks, last Tuesday in Marrakech, with the Parliamentary State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), Bärbel Kofler, focusing on ways to bolster bilateral cooperation in various fields.

During these talks, held on the sidelines of the 5th Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) Ministerial Conference on Employment and Labor, the two officials reaffirmed their willingness to continue working towards a social and ecological transformation of the industry and the economy in general.

On this occasion, Kofler was informed of the main reforms undertaken by Morocco in light of the conclusions of the New Development Model (NMD) Report.

The German official was also briefed on several priority projects launched in the Kingdom, including the generalization of social protection.

In this context, the two officials discussed how Germany could support these projects.

On Monday, Kofler had talks with Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah Alaoui on ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various fields.
