David Govrin: Direct flights between Morocco, Israel will be within 2 months

Israel's chargé d'affaires to Morocco David Govrin said Sunday in an interview with the Israel news channel I24news, that Morocco and Israel would have direct flights within 2 months.

According to Govrin intervention, the number of Israeli tourists that visit Morocco annually is 45 thousand, but after the launch of direct flights between Morocco and Israel, the number would grow dramatically.

Govrin added that the Moroccan minister of Tourism anticipates that Morocco would receive 200 thousand Israeli tourists when the direct flights start from both sides.

The head of Israelis’ liaison office in Morocco also pointed out in his intervention, that many Moroccan interested in visiting Israel, adding that the liaison office will open a consultation section to provide consultation service to Moroccans wishing to visit Israel.

David Govrin welcomed the resumption of the diplomatic ties between Morocco and Israel, pointing out that the Jewish community in Morocco played significant role by bridging the two sides to resume the bilateral relations.
