Morocco’s Under-20 football team has qualified for the quarterfinals of the U20 World Cup, held in Chile, after defeating South Korea 2-1 (halftime 1-0) on Friday in Rancagua.
The Atlas Cubs opened the scoring as early as the 8th minute, when Shin Min-Ha put the ball into his own net, before Yassir Zabiri doubled the lead in the 58th minute.
The Koreans pulled one back through a penalty converted by Kim Tae-won in stoppage time (90’+6).
With this victory, Mohamed Ouahbi’s men continue their remarkable run in the Chilean World Cup and will face the United States, who thrashed Italy 3-0, in the quarterfinals.
The match is scheduled for Sunday at 9:00 p.m. (GMT+1) at El Teniente Stadium in Rancagua.
