Morocco Hits Historic 18 Million Tourists in 2025, Surpassing Last Year’s Record

Morocco received 18 million tourists during the first eleven months of 2025, surpassing the total number of visitors for the entire year 2024 by more than 600,000 additional arrivals, according to an official statement from the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts and the Social and Solidarity Economy.

The ministry described this performance as “exceptional,” noting a 13.5% increase compared to the same period in 2024. This steady growth confirms the strong momentum the tourism sector has been experiencing over recent years.

According to the statement, the new record reflects the effectiveness of the 2023–2026 Tourism Roadmap, which focuses on expanding air connectivity, boosting international promotion, and diversifying Morocco’s tourism products and experiences. These strategic investments, the ministry noted, have significantly strengthened the country’s ability to attract visitors from established and emerging markets.

Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts and the Social and Solidarity Economy, Fatim-Zahra Ammor, highlighted that the results demonstrate “the major progress made in recent years under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, as well as the remarkable potential of Morocco as a destination.”

Ammor added that Morocco is “on the right track to finish the year strong,” especially with the country’s hosting of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) — an event expected to generate an exceptional surge of arrivals in December.
