Morocco received yesterday, Saturday, a new shipment of the Chinese anti-Coronavirus vaccine, Sinopharm, which is the second shipment that Morocco has received from China this week.
The total doses that Morocco received through this shipment amounted to 2 million doses, which is the same number of doses that Morocco received from Sinopharm last Tuesday.
Immediately after Morocco received this new shipment, the Ministry of Health announced the expansion of the target group for the vaccine in Morocco to include people aged between 30 and 34 years.
Morocco is considered the first in Africa, and among the advanced world countries in the vaccination campaign against Coronavirus, as it came close to fully vaccinating 10 million people against the virus.
Morocco aims to vaccinate 80 percent of the total population, which means vaccinating 25 million people to achieve herd immunity.
