Morocco to Host Next Airports Council International Conference in 2022

Morocco has been officially designated, in Cancún, Mexico, host country of the next annual conference of Airports Council International (ACI). This major event will be held in Marrakech on October 24-26, 2022.

At the closing ceremony of the General Assembly (WAGA) of ACI-World, the Director General of this international organization, Luis Felipe de Oliveira, announced that the National Airports Authority (ONDA) will host the annual conference next year.

"We look forward to working with the ACI-Africa region and ONDA at the 32nd Annual General Meeting, Conference and Exhibition of ACI Africa/World," said Oliveira at the ceremony, which was marked by the screening of an institutional film on Morocco.

"We have no doubt that all delegates will be warmly welcomed next year as we collectively move forward on the path to sustainable recovery," he added at the meeting, which was attended by representatives of ONDA.

"ONDA is delighted, once again, to host the next edition of ACI WAGA 2022 World and Africa," said, for his part, Director General of ONDA, Habiba Laklalech.

Laklalech, who was recently elected Vice Chair of ACI-Africa's Board of Directors and Executive Committee, also expressed her belief that this "meeting will reinforce our optimism and commitment to a secure and irreversible sustainable recovery".
