A pilot and co-pilot died in a plane crash in Marsabit Country in northern Kenya on Saturday, according to an official.
The aircraft, which was carrying exam papers for the Kenya National Examination Council, departed Nairobi Wilson Airport at 8:20 a.m. with two people on board and crashed into a hill at approximately 10:10 a.m., said director of the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority, Gilber Kibe.
"Unfortunately, there were no survivors," he added.
Other agencies and Kenyan police launched an investigation, the official said.
The incident occurred just meters away from where a plane had crashed in 2006, killing 14 people including three ministers and four parliamentarians.
