Coronavirus strains: Morocco bans flights with 17 countries

Morocco decided on Monday to add Belgium and Italy to the list of countries with which it banned flights in order to fight the new Coronavirus strains.

The decision came into effect at midnight on March 1 / 2, 2021, and will remain in effect for 15 days.

Italy and Belgium increased the number of countries that Morocco closed its border with it to 17, including Turkey, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Netherlands, Portugal, Czech, Ukraine, Sweden, Australia, Brazil, Ireland, New Zealand, UK, Denmark, and South Africa.

These precautionary decisions were taken by Morocco it comes into the frame of fighting the Coronavirus, especially that all the countries mentioned above recorded numerous of new coronavirus strains cases.

Morocco has announced that only 24 cases of the UK’s coronavirus strain have been recorded within the country so far.

The Kingdom of Morocco started on January 28, a national vaccination campaign, and more than 3 million and a half of people have already been vaccinated until now.
