Coronavirus variants threat: Morocco includes Spain, France, and Portugal in List B

The Moroccan, Ministry of Health announced yesterday the update of the list of B countries, where Spain, France, and Portugal will be included, starting on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at 11:59 p.m.

This update means that the people who will come from these 3 countries to Morocco, and still have not fully vaccinated against Coronavirus, will have to undergo quarantine for 10 days in a hotel in Morocco before being able to move freely within the country.

The measure has been taken by the health authorities as a proactive move against the threat of Coronavirus variants, especially after recording an increase of cases in the mentioned countries.

This time of summer, Morocco receives millions of its nationals who live abroad, notably in European countries, and this year is expected that a considerable number of Moroccan living abroad will enter the homeland, due to the decision to open the air borders with Europe.

In addition to that, Morocco is a tourist destination in the summer, and a significant number of international tourists are expected to head to Morocco.
