Exclusive: head of Israeli diplomatic mission leaves Morocco, amid Palestinian-Israeli tension

the head of the Israeli diplomatic mission in Rabat, David Govrin, left Morocco for Israel, without setting a date for his return, Assahifa Arabic has reported.

According to exclusive information obtained by Assahifa Arabic, Govrin left Morocco last Tuesday, aboard an Emirati plane that landed in Dubai, and then moved to Tel Aviv on another plane.

The same source added, citing informed sources, that the departure of Govrin was for "private" reasons, most likely related to the illness of his father, who lives in Jerusalem, where Govrin moved there, while his wife and children, live in Tel Aviv.

This departure comes at a time when relations between Israel and Palestine and the rest of the Arab countries are experiencing great tension due to the violence in Jerusalem and the Israeli army attacks on the Gaza Strip.

Morocco had declared its categorical rejection of the Israeli attacks on Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip and demanded the preservation of the city of Jerusalem as the capital of the three religions without any violation.
