Fischer: Moroccan-American relations will be in good hands during Biden administration

The American ambassador to Morocco, David Fischer, said in a press speech, on Monday, at the US embassy in Rabat, on the occasion of the end of his duties as the ambassador of the United States in the Kingdom of Morocco, that relations between his country and Morocco would be in good hands during the new Biden administration.

"I want you to know that the future of the United States-Morocco relationship will be in good hands," said Fisher, adding in this context, "I am 100 percent sure, I say that again, I am 100 percent sure that the incoming Biden administration will nominate a highly-qualified individual to fill this important post".

In his speech, David Fischer asserted that the coming ambassador to Morocco would work to continue the work that has been done so that Morocco and the United States of America would be on the path of growth and prosperity together.

This statement is considered as optimistic signs that Moroccan and American relations will continue to develop during the Biden presidential term, similar to what happened during the term of the outgoing US President Donald Trump, who took an important step in favor of Morocco last December by announcing America's recognition of the Moroccannee of Sahara and signing agreements to start economic projects in the south of the Kingdom.

Fischer reiterated his assertion during his statement this morning that the United States of America stands by Morocco in completing its territorial integrity and officially recognizes its sovereignty over Sahara. He expressed his satisfaction that the Biden administration will go in the same direction.

Fisher spoke about the distinguished relations between Morocco and the United States, especially in recent years, as they have been strengthened by several economic and military partnerships, which heralds the further development of these relations in the coming years.

It is worth noting that Fischer announced that he and his wife would leave Morocco in the next few days, but at the same time, he expressed his great love and admiration for the Kingdom of Morocco.
