The funeral of the Moroccan child Rayan (5 years old), who died stuck in a 32-meter-deep well, took place today, Monday, in his hometown.
Hundreds of people from different regions of Morocco attended the funeral of Rayan, who was buried in a cemetery near his village "Ighrane" on the outskirts of Chefchaouen.
The child's body had been transferred from the capital, Rabat, to his hometown, for burial, after it had been transferred by helicopter on Saturday night to the military hospital in the capital, after being pulled out of the well.
Before Rayan's body arrived in his village, the authorities had prepared a yard for the funeral prayer this afternoon, and large tents to receive people who would offer condolences to his family.
It is worth noting that the case of the child Ryan falling into a well has attracted great international attention, and people have been waiting for 5 days to get him out alive, but the end was not happy as he was taken out dead after 4 days of continuous digging day and night.
