Including AstraZeneca: Morocco to receive 3 batches of covid-19 vaccines

3 batches of 3 types of covid-19 vaccines are expected to arrive in Morocco today, according to a Moroccan official in the Ministry of Health.

The same source has said that the first batch of these vaccines is the Chinese Sinopharm, from which Morocco will receive 1 million doses, while the second batch is the Pfizer vaccine which will be composed of 800 thousand doses.

The vaccine of AstraZeneca-Oxford which is being manufactured in India will come back to Morocco once again today with a shipment of 650 thousand doses, according to the same official, after months of a halt due to India’s focus on the local vaccination campaign against covid-19.

The total of covid-19 vaccines doses that Morocco will receive today is 2 million and 450 thousand, which will give an important push to the national vaccination campaign in the country.

In Morocco until August 20, 2021, the number of people who received the first COVID-19 vaccine dose has reached 17,156,411, while 12,699,602 people are now fully vaccinated (1st and 2nd doses).
