Israeli FM to visit Morocco for 2 days in August

Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid has officially announced the date of his upcoming official visit to the Kingdom of Morocco, which will be the first visit by a high-ranking Israeli official to Morocco after more than two decades.

According to what was reported by the Israeli press, Yair Lapid revealed during a ministerial meeting that his visit to Rabat will take place on August 11 and 12, during which the Israeli liaison office will be inaugurated in Morocco.

During his visit to Morocco, the Israeli foreign minister will meet his Moroccan counterpart, Nasser Bourita, and it is expected that a number of bilateral agreements will be signed within the framework of raising the level of diplomatic relations between Morocco and Israel after the signing of the agreement to resume relations last December.

During his statement regarding this visit, Lapid confirmed that Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita will pay a similar official visit to Tel Aviv, and during this visit, he will inaugurate Moroccan diplomatic representation in Israel through the liaison office located in Tel Aviv.

It is expected that the Israeli and Moroccan ministers will exchange visits to Tel Aviv and Rabat via direct flights which recently launched between Israel and Morocco, with the aim of strengthening tourism relations between the two parties.
