Israeli Interior Minister in Morocco: Talks were fruitful

Israeli Minister of Interior, Ayelet Shaked, said on Tuesday that talks with her Moroccan counterpart Abdelouafi Laftit in Rabat were fruitful.

Ayelet met Laftit in the Moroccan capital after she arrived in the country today on her first official working visit to Morocco to discuss cooperation in various fields.

The revival of Morocco-Israel relations is likely to open prospects for joint actions, Israel's Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked told the press after the talks, adding that her talk with Laftit was an opportunity to discuss the implementation of a set of joint projects.

Israeli media had said before the arrival of Shaked to Morocco that she plans to discuss with Moroccan officials bringing foreign workers from Morocco to Israel to work in construction and nursing.

The same sources had added that Shaked is expected to meet Morocco’s interior minister, foreign minister, planning minister, economy minister, and other senior officials in the kingdom.
