Morocco and Germany share strategic and sustainable ties, nourished by shared values and aligned major global objectives, notably prosperity, technological innovation and ecological transition, Minister Delegate in charge of Investment, Convergence and Public Policies Evaluation Karim Zidane said Friday in Rabat.
"This cooperation was reinforced by the Joint Declaration of August 2022, reiterating willingness to reinforce the partnership, as well as through the signing of a structured cooperation framework in December 2023," Zidane explained during the inauguration ceremony of the office of the Federal association of small and medium-sized enterprises (BVMW) in Rabat.
On this occasion, he highlighted new avenues for bilateral cooperation, stressing the need for this office to become a platform of meeting and synergies where investors and companies from both countries can meet, share experiences and together build projects with added value.
"BMVW's office in Morocco reflects both countries' shared ambition to bridge economies, support entrepreneurs and together create promising opportunities in an ever changing world, where priority is given to development and sustainability," Zidane underlined.
The opening of the BVMW office in Morocco marks a decisive step in strengthening relations between Morocco and Germany, with the main aim of promoting the establishment and development of German small and medium-sized enterprises in Morocco.
In collaboration with the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), this project aims to strengthen industrial and economic synergies in the service of shared prosperity.
