Morocco and Saudi Arabia Step Up Civil Aviation Cooperation at Dubai Airshow 2025

Morocco and Saudi Arabia reaffirmed their shared commitment to deepening cooperation in the civil aviation sector, as Minister of Transport and Logistics Abdessamad Kayouh held talks on Monday in Dubai with the Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, Saleh Al-Jasser, on the sidelines of the 19th Dubai Airshow.

The meeting provided an opportunity for both officials to highlight the strong and longstanding relations between the two kingdoms, while exploring new avenues to enhance collaboration in air transport services and related fields.

Minister Kayouh emphasized that recent years have seen significant growth in travel and air traffic between Morocco and Saudi Arabia, particularly in Hajj and Umrah operations as well as commercial routes serving citizens of both countries.

In a statement to MAP, he stressed that the discussions reflect Morocco’s firm commitment to reinforcing its partnership with Saudi Arabia across all areas linked to civil aviation.

Kayouh also noted that the talks served as an occasion to reaffirm Morocco’s upcoming role as host of the ICAO Global Implementation Support Symposium (GISS 2026), scheduled for April 2026 in Marrakech. He added that the Dubai Airshow represents an important platform to invite international players in the aviation sector to participate in this flagship global event.

The 19th Dubai International Airshow kicked off on Monday with the participation of leaders, policymakers, innovators and aviation professionals from 150 countries, including Morocco.

The Kingdom is taking part in this major aerospace gathering with a strong delegation led by Minister Kayouh, alongside a national pavilion organized by the Moroccan Investment and Export Development Agency (AMDIE) and the presence of multiple Moroccan exhibitors from the aviation and aerospace industries.
