General Mohamed Berrid, Inspector General of the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces (FAR) and Commander of the Southern Zone, on Tuesday received Lieutenant General Moussa Salaou Barmou, Chief of Staff of the Nigerien Army, who is on a working visit to the Kingdom from September 21 to 27, heading a high-level military delegation.
In a statement, the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces said that the talks were held in the presence of senior Moroccan army officers, members of the Nigerien delegation, as well as Niger’s military attaché in Rabat.
Both parties praised the level of relations between their armed forces, describing them as rooted in fraternal ties and cooperation based on mutual respect.
Bilateral military cooperation covers several areas, notably training, strengthening operational capabilities, military health, as well as exchanges of visits and expertise.
