Morocco and Russia seek to expand their ties in many fields in order to strengthen bilateral relations.
This goal was the main focus of talks yesterday between the Special Representative of the President of Russia for the Middle East and African countries, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, and Morocco's Ambassador in Moscow, Lotfi Bouchaara.
According to a statement by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs., the meeting focused on strengthening the traditionally friendly relations between Russia and Morocco, including deepening political dialogue, expanding trade, economic and humanitarian ties.
The same source added the two parties also discussed the needed efforts to fight the coronavirus infection and exchanged views on the current situation in North Africa.
Morocco has recently approved the use of the Russian coronavirus vaccine, Sputnik V, in its national vaccination campaign, and it is expected that a shipment of this vaccine could arrive in Morocco in the next coming days.
