The Moroccan House of Councillors Speaker, Naama Mayara, affirmed on Thursday, Morocco's support for Egypt's water security and its rights to its water resources.
Mayara added during a meeting with the Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, in the capital, Cairo, that Rabat is interested in cooperation and coordination with Egypt within the framework of the African Union.

Mayara is visiting Egypt at the head of an important parliamentary delegation from 22 to 27 February, at the invitation of the Egyptian Senate Speaker Abdel-Wahhab Abdel-Razzaq.
The Moroccan delegation expressed its appreciation and pride in the development and renaissance Egypt is witnessing in all aspects of life, and Egypt's pioneering role in the Arab world.
For his part, the Egyptian Foreign Minister expressed Egypt's pride in the momentum and solidarity that relations with Morocco are witnessing, stressing the importance of continuing to expand the scope of bilateral cooperation in a way that strengthens the common interests of the two countries.
In this context, Shoukry highlighted the most important challenges facing the region, highlighting the importance of preserving state institutions as a valve of safety, stability, and protection of the capabilities of its people.
