The Exchange Office reported that exports from the aviation sector exceeded 14.13 billion dirhams during the first six months of 2025, marking an increase of 8.8 percent compared to the same period last year.
In its monthly bulletin on foreign trade indicators for June 2025, the Office explained that this growth is due to a rise in sales in the assembly category by 728 million dirhams, as well as an increase in exports in the Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) category by 427 million dirhams.
Meanwhile, phosphate and derivatives exports improved by 18.9 percent to 46.56 billion dirhams, benefiting from a rise in sales of natural and chemical fertilizers by 4.902 billion dirhams, phosphate by 1.63 billion dirhams, and phosphoric acid by 857 million dirhams.
The Exchange Office also recorded growth in exports from the agriculture and agri-food sector, which rose by 3.2 percent to 48.55 billion dirhams, and from other industries, which increased by 13.1 percent to 15.68 billion dirhams.
Conversely, exports in electronics and electricity, other mineral extracts, textiles and leather, and the automotive sector declined by 7.8 percent to 8.59 billion dirhams, 4.5 percent to 2.55 billion dirhams, 4 percent to 22.52 billion dirhams, and 3.6 percent to 77.6 billion dirhams, respectively.
