The number of people who have received the first dose of the vaccine in Morocco has reached 9,341,497, while those fully vaccinated (1st and 2nd doses) stands at 6,457,177, said the Ministry in its daily report on the situation of Covid-19.
A total of 473 new cases of infection with the novel coronavirus and 383 recoveries have been recorded in Morocco over the past 24 hours, according to the same source.
The new count brings the total number of infections to 522,003 since the first case was reported in March 2020, while the number of recovered people has risen to 509,660, representing a recovery rate of 97.6%.
The total number of deaths rose to 9,187, with 6 new fatalities recorded in the regions of Rabat-Sale-Kenitra (2), Marrakech-Safi (1), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (1) and the Eastern region (1).
Active cases are now at 3,156, while severe or critical cases stand at 214, including 8 people who are being treated by intubation and 90 by non-invasive ventilation.
