Ryanair Launches First Domestic Flights in Morocco

Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair launched its first domestic flights in Morocco on Sunday, following approval from the Ministry of Transport and Logistics.

The inaugural flights operated from Marrakech to Oujda and Tetouan. Ryanair plans to expand its domestic network in Morocco, offering competitive fares to nine cities: Agadir, Errachidia, Essaouira, Fez, Marrakech, Ouarzazate, Oujda, Tangier, and Tetouan.

The launch of domestic flights marks a significant milestone for Ryanair's expansion in Morocco. The airline aims to double its annual passenger traffic in Morocco to over 10 million by 2027.

In a statement, the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, Social and Solidarity Economy said that Ryanair's decision to launch domestic flights "will contribute to the strengthening of the Moroccan air transport sector and the development of national tourism."
