Solid Cooperation and Respect Bind Morocco and UAE, Says Minister

The close, continually strengthened relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Morocco are founded on solid grounds of cooperation and mutual respect, guided by a common will to further strengthen them, UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment Maryam Al Meheiri told MAP.

"We are firmly committed to enhancing relations with the Kingdom of Morocco in various areas related to the environment and climate change, particularly through the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and the development of joint projects in the preservation of natural resources and biodiversity," she affirmed.

The United Arab Emirates welcomes the new opportunities available to both countries and is working to promote partnership relations to achieve common goals in environmental protection at both national and international levels, emphasized the minister.

Al Meheiri also praised the efforts to promote bilateral relations that are destined for a promising future under the leadership of both Heads of State.

The UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment and Morocco's Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, and Water and Forests signed a memorandum of understanding on Monday in Abu Dhabi, establishing a partnership in the fields of agriculture and maritime fisheries.
