Morocco's Royal Navy coast guards on maritime patrol off the coast of Nador aborted on Friday a drug trafficking operation after chasing a fast boat, says a military source.
The suspects managed to flee at high speed after throwing the drug shipment at sea, the source adds.
This operation led to the seizure of about two tons of drugs, the source points out, adding that the shipment was brought to the military port of Nador and handed over to the Royal Gendarmerie for the usual procedures.
