The Judicial police in Errachidia arrested, Thursday, on the basis of precise information provided by the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance (DGST), a 48-year-old for alleged ties with an international drug trafficking criminal network.
The suspect was arrested in the city of Errachidia, the National Police (DGSN) said in a statement.
Investigations allowed to locate the drugs, consisting of 24 bundles of cannabis resin totaling 600 kilograms, in the rural area of "Sidi Ali", a suburb of Rissani, police added.
The suspect was remanded in police custody for the investigation carried out under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office, while investigations are underway to arrest other individuals involved in these criminal acts.
