Morocco Welcomes 16.6 Million Tourists by End of October 2025, Up 14% Year-on-Year

Morocco received 16.6 million tourists by the end of October 2025, marking a 14 percent increase compared to the same period last year, Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy Fatima Zahra Ammor announced on Friday in Casablanca.

Speaking at a ceremony marking the signing of a Letter of Intent between Alliance Group and Rixos Hotels, Minister Ammor said this performance reflects the “exceptional dynamism” of the tourism sector, driven by the Tourism Roadmap launched in 2023 and the growing confidence of both Moroccan and foreign investors.

She highlighted that Morocco is now ranked among the top 20 most dynamic global destinations and currently holds the 13th position worldwide, according to the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).

Since 2023, the Minister added, the Kingdom has expanded its accommodation capacity with the creation of 43,000 new beds across the country, underscoring the strong growth in national hospitality infrastructure.
