Morocco’s airports welcomed a total of 36.6 million passengers in 2025, recording an 11% year-on-year increase, according to figures released by the National Office of Airports (ONDA). The performance confirms the continued recovery and expansion of the Kingdom’s air transport sector.
ONDA said the strong growth was significantly driven by the success of the Africa Cup of Nations, which attracted supporters from across the world and generated exceptional traffic across several Moroccan airports throughout the year.
The Office attributed this upward trend to the implementation of its “Airport 2030” strategy, which focuses on anticipating demand, adapting infrastructure, improving passenger experience, and strengthening air connectivity with key international markets.
Casablanca Mohammed V Airport surpassed 11 million passengers by the end of December, maintaining its position as the country’s leading air hub. Marrakesh Menara Airport, meanwhile, reached the 10-million-passenger threshold for the first time, reinforcing its status as one of Morocco’s top tourism gateways.
Rabat-Salé Airport recorded one of the strongest growth rates nationwide, with traffic rising by 26% to reach 2 million passengers. Overall, ONDA noted that traffic growth is largely driven by the Kingdom’s five main airports, which together account for nearly 90% of total passenger volume.
In terms of market share, Casablanca represents 32% of national air traffic, followed by Marrakesh with 28% and Agadir with 10%. Tangier and Rabat also posted robust increases, with growth rates of 17% and 26% respectively compared to 2024.
ONDA stressed that these results reflect the effectiveness of its coordinated approach with key institutional partners, including the Ministry of the Interior, the Directorate General of National Security, the Royal Gendarmerie, the Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration, and the Ministry of Transport and Logistics.
